PSP CLADDING SYSTEMS

PSP are metal fabricator who supply range of cladding systems in different materials: zinc, aluminium, stainless steel, copper, coreten steel and others. FAT were employed to develop range of systems which would cover most of thetypical cladding layouts with honeycomb supported and sheet metal options.   

Honeycomb core is used for thin gauge metals. 0.7mm metal with honeycomb is just as rigid as 2mm or 3mm flat sheet metal material. This is more economical. Sometimes thin gauge aluminium with honeycomb is used, if architects is after crisp edges of the panel. (2mm or 3mm aluminium has bevel edges when pressed.)

2mm sheet aluminium and 4mm composite aluminium cassettes are more economical cladding systems.

M1

Thin gauge metal onto honeycomb core.
Sub frame - aluminium or steel compound box section. 
This system is used on refurb buildings if no insulation in the cavity is needed. The ventilated cavity has minimal dimension. The system is oriented for use on the refurbishment of the existing buildings.

 

M1T

The same thin gauge metal onto honeycomb core. But it is fixed onto helping hand bracket and vertical T-shaped extruded aluminium profiles. This system is used when the insulation is the ventilated cavity is needed. The system is orientated for use on the newbuilt.

Sheet metal trays invisibly fixed to the vertical aluminium mullions. The system is designed for the high-rise buildings with tall vertical panel layout. 

 

M2T

Sheet metal trays discretely fixed (fixing is visible in the recessed joint between the panels) to the vertical T-shaped aluminium profiles. The system is designed for the high-rise buildings with tall vertical panel layout.

MIP

Aluminium horizontal planks. Invisibly fixed to vertical T-shaped aluminium profiles. The most economical system. However, it is only good for very narrow aluminium trays with minimal joint between the panels.  

 

MIPV

Aluminium vertical planks. Invisibly fixed to vertical T-shaped aluminium and horizontal Z-shaped profiles. The most economical system. However, it is only good for very narrow aluminium trays with minimal joint between the panels. 

The choice of the systems depends on the project. Some of them are more advantageous for high-rise, or have slightly better panel replacement strategy, or are just suitable for a particular panel layout. But as range of systems they can cover almost any situation.
